Rosh Hashanah
Make us newborn as the year, our Creator,
Move us from womb darkness to light;
Take the muffled sounds of our gestation,
Transform them to nigguns of joy.
Before our birth, even before we came to be,
You fashioned the plain of our existence.
You nurtured us with tales of faithfulness;
You prepared us for deeds of kindness.
We are not delivered mindless and senseless.
We enter the world marked by Your touch;
Sustain Your hand's hold upon us,
Let it be our Source of strength.
Raise us up to know and to serve You,
Each day shall be an offering;
As You gave us life, we shall choose life,
By our mindfulness we honor You.
